John Auburn is the owner of J.W. Desserts, located on Whidbey
Island in Washington State's Puget Sound. Now that his kids
are in school full time he has opened his retail location
at Ken`s Korner Shopping Center in Clinton. John has been
a professional cake artist since 1992 and truely loves what
he does.
Prior to starting J.W.Desserts he owned "John &
Mike's Amazing Cakes" in Redmond, WA, now owned by Mike
McCarey. There he was contracted to do many sculpted cakes
for high profile events including the 1996 Presidential Debates,
the 1997-98 Academy Awards, the 1996 Golden Globes, the 1996
World Series and 1998 Superbowl.
John's wedding cakes have been published in "Modern
Bride" and "Brides" magazines as well as in
such books as "Weddings For Dummies" and "Sweet
Sensations" by Marie Goldstein.
John has lived on Whidbey Island since 1982 and decided to
slow down in 1998 in order to be a bigger influence with his
children and provide the Island with a high quality product.
